Next question, why didn’t you prime those oil filters by putting oil in them?

I did the same bypass oil filter system on my diesel, but I also have a commercial account with Amsoil and that’s the oil you should stick with on that truck or Delo 400. That’s just my opinion, but I’ve been told by the best mechanics to do this and Ford does approve Amsoil.

That's pretty disgusting and, like you, I don't understand why people leave a mess for other - I guess, lesser - people to clean up. And, they should know that includes EVERYTHING, including cigarette butts. We sometimes have our grandkids visit us at a campsite, and I've had to clean up tons of them, because as you can imagine, they're a curiosity for little ones. By the way, that municipal rv park in Oklahoma - it didn't happen to start with an R and end in -cadia, did it? 😉

It amazes me how people have gotten and don't care about cleaning up after themselves. It makes me wonder what their home place and inside their camper looks.

My wife and I lived in Pa. for a year and a half. Every morning we would walk walk one mile west and then back on the opposite side coming back. We would average 2 bags of trash each on the same road every day. It just astounds me that people would do this in the area that they live. I am sure every state is the same. (love Pa so not bashing on them)

My wife and I are in our 70's and when we go camping ( boondocking ) most of the time. We make it a point to go around the empty camp areas and pickup what is left by others. Two years ago I picked up enough spent cartridges to fill a peanut butter pretzel container. Here in Utah they are starting to close off areas because of the trash. Love your channel.

why would i buy this battery over goal zero battery pack other than price but is it worth it when lithium battery are known for causing fires without warning and can't us lithium battery in very cold weather as the world changing going green not cheap there will still be waste when battery dies i own goal zero and jackery cheaper but i still prefer goal zero and a gas generator that always works as long as you have gas

I use our dirty paper towels and paper plates to start our campfire. That’s the only trash going in there.

I think everyone probably has a story about arriving to a campsite that was a trash pit. It’s crazy how lazy some people are. We dispose our trash when we stop for gas, or grocery store.

My folks insisted that our campsite be cleaner when we left than when we got there. It is the way I camp to this day.

Trash goes in the black tank or is it the gray ? I knew a regional park near me in the city of Anaheim that the trash was so bad by tent campers. The campground was closed down. A group came in least the campground as long as they could make their own rules and decided all campers must have an RV, and believe it or not no more trash problem. Now I can’t talk about BLM land, but this is what example of people abusing and then losing a good campground for those could not afford an RV.

Sean, if you want to feel a little better about that $50 oil drain pan I've got 2 of them. I was in Florida and couldn't find an oil change place that could fit my 11 ft. tall rig in their shop. I already had one $50 or there about oil drain pan at home but I had to buy another one when I was in Florida and had to change my oil myself. Now for the drain plug gaskets, if they are sold copper you can heat them on your propane stove in your rig until they are red hot. Then let them air cool (do not quench) and they will be soft and will work again. I have reused the head gasket on an old Triumph motorcycle many times by doing this. Keep the good stuff coming.

I save the plastic Amazon bags for my garbage bags. They are tough and you can cram a lot in them. I do pick up others trash. It bothers me that they're slobs, but the time it takes to clean up is worth the satisfaction.

For me, Anything eatable, even small crumbs or drops of sauce, go into my 4 legged furry garbage composter, And the the Paper plate either go into the hot blazing fire, or get folded up into to tini tiny balls and placed in my trash bag. I generally don't have cans, or bottles (I reuse my water bottles). Biggest item of trash I have camping is egg shells, which go directly into the trash bag.(Though I feel they would be good for the soil, they would be ugly for many months. And for your viewers knowledge..... Orange peels are NOT biodegradable. I have picked up Orange peels from a dispersed wilderness campsite I stayed at 5 years earlier when I was much more stupid!!

I was blessed that my father took me fishing as a little boy and we "always" carried out any trash we found at our fishing spots. I still have the habit of picking up trash and putting it in my pocket until I come across the trash can or until I get home. Thank you Chief for teaching me to love nature!

Favorite trash story just happened this morning. I was parked in a fairgrounds campground by the dumpster. This dumpster was overflowing with people’s crap like someone had a rummage sale out there and wood fence posts. I watched this guy next to me roll down his pickup window attach the loop of the trash bag to the end of a fence post hanging two feet outside of the dumpster. If I had had my shoes on I would have rushed out there and finished the job while he was watching but I didn’t have shoes on didn’t have slip on or flip flops and I was parked on gravel. Completely unimpressed with that guy.

We handle our trash the way you do. We always ask the campground that are at if we can leave several small bags of trash. That is what we usually have a week or two of boom dock camping. They have NEVER said no when we ask. We would have more trash if we had to clean up one of the boon dock sites that we were at. LEAVE NO TRACE CAMPING!!!

When I was a police officer, littering from a motor vehicle was a $1200 fine, that was pre 2008. No telling what it is now. But if you got caught dumping it was a $2500 fine and went up. Seems to me the park ranger has enough info from your registration for a campsite to issue you a summons.

Hay Guys, this is Terry and I want to say that this is an important subject. What I do is the stuff that will not burn in my camp fire I then bag is up and drop it off at a gas station or walmart or someplace that it proper. I love your sites, I have been a Fan since Before the Marriage. I would Really like to go to the Keys but they REALLY Like their sites. So I am planning a trip to Tybee Island sometime this fall. My Chihuahua / Rat Terrier loves to go camping. I am just waiting to see how bad this economy is going to get. Other than that, I can call friends of mine and stay in their driveway. I sold my Casita and I got a Scamp 5er (fifth Wheel) and I pull it with my Tacoma.

Thanks to the wuhan, more and more low level folks camp. They could care less and certainly don’t watch this channel. Campgrounds should rate campers like Airbnb.

It is amazing how many pigs travel in RVs. It drives me nuts to hit a nice park and pull into a campsite only to realize that the idiot(s) there before me left all their garbage all over the place. If you do put something in the firepit, only do it when you are having a fire, and make darn sure that it is something that burns 100%, and is not something that is going to leave a bunch of black smoke and toxic fumes please. Safe travels as always....

You might advise novice campers to be careful to not drain their car battery that would leave them stranded when it is time to pack up. How long can a new car battery run a microwave?

Several times I've flagged down forest service folk in their trucks and asked for some large garbage bags. Then I spent 4+ hours picking up trash in forest camps. When I was done, they came by and picked up the bags full of trash. Gave me something to do on the days I didn't feel like hiking.

I have a question. Why not use 10 ply tires instead of lt truck tires. I use them on my half ton truck. I run at 45lbs normally. Then raise the pressure up for towing. Also, I hate litter bugs. I'll yell at em. Lol. I take my trash home with me.

That is why more businesses have started locking their dumpster because it was meant for their garbage, not everyone elses and I am referring to businesses in town that have homeless people using someones dumpster. But for sure gas stations are a place to get rid of a "minimal" amount of garbage and the key is to try and get rid of it often when on the road so there is rarely a large bag of accumulated items. I've done the simple tent camping thing in the past out of a pickup with a box cover on it and I have a pack of garbage bags with and if camping in the back country on BLM land for a bit I take my opportunity when I am back in a public space to get rid of my small accumulations, I NEVER leave anything behind and that includes putting anything in a fire pit as some people use those as their garbage and that is just nasty and lazy.
